School Transitions
Helping your child step into primary school confident, capable and excited.

Starting school is a big milestone for children and parents alike. When it's time to leave Toddler World for the next chapter, we do everything we can to support and celebrate that step, making sure each child is truly ready for what's ahead.
We firmly believe every child should start school ready to learn, able to make friends and play, and confident enough to ask for what they need and say what they think. A child's earliest experiences shape their future success, and their early education and care play a huge part in that.
Parents and facilitators working together makes all the difference. By partnering closely and strengthening learning at home too, we help your child make a smoother, happier start at school.
How we prepare them
In the lead-up to starting school, our facilitators plan plenty of activities to build school readiness, for example:
- Reading books together about starting school
- Role-playing “the teacher” with the children
- Practising eating lunch independently
- Taking part in a fun sports day
We involve you every step of the way, sharing ideas for what you can do at home to help your child feel ready. Our team communicates as much as possible so that you feel reassured throughout, making the whole transition seamless for children and parents. These chats happen in parent–teacher meetings closer to the moving-on time.
